Unlike what some people may think, it is possible to bring deleted data back to life. So, if you accidentally delete a file you need, or if something goes wrong and you lose data, you can bring it back with a data recovery tool. The DIY DataRecovery-developed application iRecover is an all-in-one data recovery tool that will bring your deleted data back to life.

The iRecover installation file is of 4.9MB, meaning it won’t take long for the download to complete. You can install the data recovery tool on any Windows edition from Windows 2000 up to Windows 7. A simple setup wizard will guide you through the installation process. Please note that you should not install iRecover on the disk or volume that needs to be recovered; if you only have one volume and it needs to be recovered, install the application on another PC and run the program from a removable drive.

A prompt telling you that antivirus software may impact disk access performance shows up when you run iRecover. You should temporarily disable the antivirus if iRecover seems to run sluggishly.

iRecover’s interface presents the three types of data recovery the application has to offer: Image Recovery (recovers lost digital images and videos, typically from memory cards and USB thumb drives), Data Recovery for Windows and Linux (recovers data from FAT, exFAT, NTFS, and ext 2/3/4 file systems), and RAID Recovery (reconstructs broken RAID 0, RAID 1+0, and RAID 5). Select the type of data recovery that meets your needs, select the drive you want to scan, and let iRecover do its job. The application will find the data that can be recovered and present it to you.

iRecover is shareware and some functions are not available in the trial version. There are three license types you could get: Standard (allows file recovery), Standard Plus (file recovery and image recovery), and Professional (file, image, and RAID recovery).

Losing data, especially data you need, can be a big hassle. Use the powerfull all-in-one data recovery tool iRecover to bring your lost data back to life.

Pros

Works with just about any Windows edition. Easy to use interface that will not pose a problem to any user, not even novices. Three data recovery types: Image Recovery, Data Recovery for Windows and Linux, and RAID Recovery. Support for multiple languages is provided.

Cons

You get access to iRecover’s full functionality only if you get the Professional edition.
